Be Happy Friday

I'm that girl who listens to the Sports Animal all day every day (yet last night Matt still questioned that I had even heard of Kyrie Erving. Really?), and Traber's Be Happy Friday music is always a good reminder that it's almost 5:00...another week survived :) Kidding!

Anyway, I wanted to share a little Be Happy Dance Party with you on this Friday...the Harlem Shake, RFBO-style!

And that, folks, is one of the many reasons I love my job.

In other news this week, my latest Birchbox came in (review coming soon!), I got an invitation to the Phi Lamb 25th anniversary celebration and a new stylus, all on Tuesday! Like, for real, Tuesday rocked.

Oklahoma decided once again to turn into a winter wonderland on #WhatTheHeckWednesday. I'm not even kidding with that hashtag, all day long I just wanted to say "what.the.heck." because everything about Wednesday just annoyed me. It didn't help that Starbucks mixed up my coffee and it was disgusting and they were mean. Or that both the Cowboys and the Thunder lost.

Molly looks as sad as I felt during the OSU game.

On Thursday, Kaden played basketball and won! Tonight I'm headed to another game, so you can expect pictures. Until then, here's a little #tbt magic for you.

And that's it. Happy weekend!

#tbt Homecoming Edition

Tonight is all night pomp at OSU, meaning my favorite holiday (ahem, Chase) is just hours away: Homecoming Weekend!!!

Two years ago, after countless hours of hard work, several all nighters, a few tears, a whole lot of stress, millions of memories and 3,729 Diet Cokes, James (my Delt counterpart) and I hoped and prayed our house dec would come together and be everything we had been imagining for months...And it turned out even better than we could have dreamed.

Being involved with Homecoming was more than just tissue paper and chicken wire to me. It was #catdh10 with Emily, Starbucks runs with Laine and couch cuddles with Lacey. It was learning to manage a businesslike budget, being pushed to the busy limit, managing people and their hours, managing my own time and school, and being creative without holding back. Most importantly, it was making friends and memories to last a lifetime.

Thunderstruck

First order of business - HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kiera Faith!!!! I can't believe you are so grown up. I really thought I took this picture yesterday, but I guess it's been a few years. :) I love you and I am so thankful to be your cousin.

Next up - can I reiterate how much I LOVE the OKC Thunder?

Via their Facebook page:
In this intense heat, firefighters across Oklahoma need your help. Donate water and Gatorade at your local volunteer fire station. Thunder brought a big shipment of Gatorade to Amber FD in rural Grady County today. GM Sam Presti: "It's part of being a community partner, helping when there's a need."

The OKC Thunder visited the tiny town a few miles southwest of me to deliver much needed Gatorade yesterday. How needed? Well, according to some pretty reputable sources, the FD was down to their last bottles of water - for the year. As a volunteer group, they get a certain amount, and when they're out, they're out. Well, the Thunder have long said "Team is ONE" and this is one great example of going out of their way to demonstrate.

Now, onto more funsies. Mr. Wilkerson at Transformation Martial Arts has started this class that I fondly refer to as "HolyCowWhatAFreakingWorkout," better known as Power Toning. A few of my blog friends have truly been a great motivation to get more active, and when I heard about this class from my mom/brother, I thought it sounded like just the thing. I was picturing ballet moves, yoga, pilates, etc. Uhm...I couldn't be more wrong. Try 30 minutes of non-stop ridiculousness, minus the 60-seconds he counts down for us to take a break in the middle. Not that I'm complaining, because good soreness is typically an indicator of something working, but man. I will say I am truly enjoying the class so far and I love that it is a total body workout. If you're around Chickasha I definitely recommend looking into it!

Yeah - I think I'll stick to Mr. Wilkerson's class!!
